Cal. 223 Rem. S# 182-27632. Mfg. 1980. Early style wood upper handguard. Receiver has 2 proof marks over chamber meaning proper heat treatment. Factory recalled early stainless Mini's & reheat-treated them & stamped 2nd proof mark. Factory 20 round mag. & military style sling with "M. King" stamped on brass hooks. CONDITION: all aspects near excellent but stainless metal exhibits some porosity that almost appears as pits, this can be seen on bbl., front sight & portions of receiver; not a defect, just a characteristic of the metal. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: silver finished B-Square mount system with brass shimmed rings holding a Lyman Alaskan All-Weather 2.5x scope with S# 8838, cross hair reticle & Butler Creek lens caps attached with a build up of electrical tape. Mount set appears to have a larger than normal machinist made attachment knob. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Litschert Spot-Shot booster which increases the Alaskan scope to 8x, this is a rare & unusual accessory. Scope set significantly affects value of this outfit. (12-1414/NW). MODERN. $500-750.
